DEEP IN THE MEDINA OF FEZ

This photo, I took during my trip to Morocco, is my favorite among the ones I shoot at the Medina of Fez. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you what I saw in there.
First we started walking through the last built neighborhoods, 16th century. It was like going for a stroll in the past because the buildings are exactly as they were in their beginnings. Meanwhile we were going deep the maze, we found out awesome secrets: aged colors, spices smell all around, wires, fruits in every place mostly melons and prickly pears, children and teenagers selling souvenirs to the tourists, etc. Cartloads and donkeys were going crossed the way every other minute although it was funny. Once, a donkey slobbered in my arm, yuck! Haha C: Moreover, we learnt the leather making process. It smells strong that's why the guide gave us a sprig of mint. In the middle of the medine, 9th century, we saw the most crowded place on it. There were lots of people whether buying food for evening party (it wasa last week of Ramadan) or talking or praying in the mosque (we didn't get in, we just took a look from outside) or working on their sjops. By the way we saw man sewing djellaba by hand or the machine.

In conclusion, it was a wonderful experience in order to all the senses.
